Keep Away in the Box

Start:

Two teams of six each enter the restraining box.  One player from each team is confined to the crease and is inactive.  There is not a goalie.  Play is confined to the restraining box.

Play:

Start with a competitive ground ball.  The team that takes possesion of the ball has their player released from the crease and they play 6v5 keepaway.  They must complete a set number of passes to “win.”  Once a team wins, they remain in the box while a new team enters quickly and a new game starts.

If possession is lost to the 'defensive' team, their crease player is released and the other original crease player returns.

If the ball leaves the box, both players return and a new ball is rolled out.

Variations:  Smaller sides for smaller groups.
